Wind Renewable Fund
This is a Fund we have raised to help our project customers get turbine supply agreements in place. The Wind Renewable Fund has allowed us to put in place the frame agreements with turbine manufacturers, gaining us access to a significant number of turbines. The Fund is essentially bridge financing and is often the final development piece that gets a project to the stage where a long term equity investor will step in and invest in owning the project.
The Wind Renewable Fund has not only helped us gain access to wind turbine supply, but also favorable turbine pricing.
In addition to the clout this Fund gives us, turbine companies like the fact that we have a large number of projects in our pipeline. This provides a ready market for “fill-in” orders and the basis for a long term relationship with Midwest Wind Finance.
The Wind Renewable Fund is opened and being deployed and we continue to raise money from qualified investors.
