


Our
mission is to arrange all the financing to complete a community wind project.
Unlike most of our competitors we don't aspire to own projects. Our model allows
ownership to return to the landowner after an initial 10 year period, during
which an outside equity investor is paid off.
We target an after tax internal rate of return of 7% - 8.75% depending on the
nature of the project. We strive to have the most competitive financing rates
in the industry.
While land owners make some money during years 1-10, they realize significant
income in years 11-20 as the owner of the project. This is especially true if
the project has a strong wind resource and/or a favorable power purchase agreement. Our
model insures that landowners will make at least as much money in years 1-10
as they would with the big financing/development firms. Then they realize significant
income in years 11-20 as the owner of the project.
The model used by most of our competitors provides landowners with small ongoing lease payments. Or, if the model allows the landowner to buy the project, a high valuation is charged leaving a large debt burden for the landowner to pay.
