Permanent Project Finance
MWF maintains relationships with a wide range of tax equity, sponsor equity, and debt institutions. We work hard to structure deals that give our project clients the most favorable terms to meet their objectives. We have an expert structured finance staff and state of the art wind finance modeling software. With the 2009 Federal Stimulus bill; there are several new options for wind project finance. We keep constantly up to date with these and any other Federal or State legislation changes.
Development Capital
MWF invests in very promising early to mid-stage wind projects. We generally enter after land control is established and
met towers are operating. When we invest, we become equity partners with the developers. We offer financial support and development consultation, but we believe in keeping the developer in charge of completing the development of their project. MWF is currently invested in several wind projects throughout the US and Canada.
Consulting Services
Because MWF has worked with developers of wind projects and has developed expertise and alliances, MWF can offer valuable consulting services to independent developers, after helping at critical stages. MWF services include sophisticated financial modeling, PPA negotiation, turbine selection, grant applications, and feasibility analysis. Developers have also found having a firm like MWF under contract gives their project additional credibility.
Sale of Projects
We have relationships with a large circle of strategic buyers who want to acquire wind projects at various stages of development, from "green field" to constructed projects. We can facilitate a win/win deal between developers receptive to an exit and strategic buyers.
